Pashinyan says Internet transit through Azerbaijan poses no threat to Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that he sees no threat in the transit of internet traffic through the territory of Azerbaijan.

According to Olaylar, citing Armenian media outlets, Pashinyan told journalists that the transit of internet traffic does not create any dependence of Armenia on Azerbaijan.

"We constantly say that Armenia should become a transit hub. The more flows pass through Armenia, the greater our economic and political weight, as well as our level of security. Anyone who opposes this wants Armenia to remain trapped in a deadlock of conflict," Pashinyan said.

It should be recalled that on June 22, AzerTelecom and Telecom Armenia signed a bilateral agreement on the transit of international internet traffic through the territory of Azerbaijan.
