Milli Majlis sends congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President on Victory Day

The Milli Majlis has sent a congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva on the occasion of Victory Day on November 8, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said during todaychr("39")s plenary session of the parliament, Olaylar informs.

The parliamentarians greeted the speakerchr("39")s proposal with applause.

In her speech, Sahiba Gafarova emphasized that the Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War became the highest expression of the unity of the people, the army, and the state.

"The Great Victory also created a historic opportunity for establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus. The consistent efforts of the head of state are aimed at building a sustainable security architecture in the region and realizing opportunities for cooperation," she stated.
