Anar Bagirov: Azerbaijan's legal system develops in line with modern principles, standards

Azerbaijanchr("39")s legal system is developing in accordance with modern principles, international standards, and the changing needs of society, Chairman of the Bar Association Anar Bagirov stated in a video message to participants of the autumn conference of the European Young Bar Association (EYBA) in Baku, Olaylar informs.

He noted that Azerbaijan has a rich legal history and long-standing traditions of respecting diversity and multicultural values.

"Today, the development of Azerbaijanchr("39")s legal system also encompasses new areas such as artificial intelligence, data protection, and digital rights," Bagirov said.

The chairman of the Bar Association added that hosting the conference of the European Young Bar Association provides an opportunity to further strengthen ties between legal communities.

"In Azerbaijan, interest in the legal profession among young people is steadily growing. Young lawyers make an important contribution to improving legal practice and introducing innovative approaches. Their professional development and active participation in legal activities are constantly in the spotlight. It is no coincidence that the vast majority of lawyers admitted to the Bar Association are young people. Along with this, the Young Lawyers Committee operates under the Bar Association. The Committee serves as a special platform to support the professional development of young lawyers, encourage their active participation, and increase their contribution to the future of the legal profession," Bagirov said.
