Death toll in Kazakhstan's Mangystau Region incident rises to 14

The death toll among military personnel following an incident in Kazakhstanchr("39")s Mangystau Region has risen to 14, Olaylar informs, citing the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

The defense ministry noted that the bodies of two service members previously missing in the Caspian Sea were recovered on the morning of September 25, bringing the search and rescue operation to a close.

The tragedy occurred on September 24 during a combat training mission when 17 service members were swept into the open sea due to a sudden and severe deterioration in weather conditions. Three were rescued, while 14 lost their lives.
