Hamid Shahriari warns of consequences of state fragmentation policies
11:40 EnThe policies pursued by some states to fragment countries can lead to serious problems, including violations of national sovereignty, social challenges, political instability and conflicts, Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, said.
According to Olaylar, speaking at an event held at the Aghdam Juma Mosque in connection with an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, Shahriari said deliberate efforts to fragment states not only threaten their territorial integrity and the inviolability of their territories.
"Policies aimed at fragmentation also affect the legitimate rights of peoples to peace, stability, independence and sustainable development," Shahriari said.
He stressed the importance of supporting peace and stability both in the region and around the world.
"We hope that lasting peace will soon be achieved in the South Caucasus as well," he added.
