Baku to host conference on protection of historical-religious monuments
10:24 EnOn September 17, a conference titled Protection of Historical-Religious Monuments: Challenges and Perspectives will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
According to Olaylar, citing the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan, the event will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the committee.
The conference will bring together heads of relevant state institutions, members of parliament, scholars, specialists working in the field, and representatives of the public.
Discussions will focus on modern approaches to the preservation and restoration of religious-cultural heritage, the role of religious communities in safeguarding these monuments, and the importance of restored religious-architectural sites in the urban environment of liberated territories.
Within the framework of the event, panel sessions will also be held under the themes: Protection of Cultural-Religious Heritage: Law, Practice, and Opportunities and The Importance of Historical-Religious Sites in Promoting Traditions of Tolerance and Multiculturalism.
