Ukraine, Azerbaijan mull expanding Middle Corridor's capabilities

Ukraine and Azerbaijan possess significant potential to strengthen transport and logistics cooperation, and the development of new routes between the Black and Caspian Seas will contribute to strengthening ties between Europe and Central Asia, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev said following a meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, Olaylar informs.

"We discussed promising areas of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cooperation in transport, digital transformation, and modern infrastructure development. Special attention was paid to expanding the capabilities of the Middle Corridor," the ambassador stated in a social media post.

Husiev noted that digitalization and transport infrastructure are currently not only issues of economic development, but also matters of resilience, security, and new strategic opportunities for both countries.

The ambassador thanked Minister Rashad Nabiyev and Azerbaijan for solidarity, assistance, and support for Ukraine, as well as for cooperation aimed at deepening the strategic partnership.

"There is much joint work and new opportunities ahead," the diplomat emphasized.
