Hikmat Hajiyev calls for stronger international ties for Karabakh cities

Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, has emphasized the importance of developing international cooperation between cities in Azerbaijanchr("39")s Karabakh region and cities in other countries.

Hajiyev made the remarks while addressing members of the diplomatic corps in Khankandi.

He said international cooperation and partnerships between Karabakh cities and foreign cities are of great importance.

"I am grateful to all our partners and friendly countries whose cities and settlements have established sister-city relations with cities in Karabakh," Hajiyev said.

He also stressed the importance of developing direct ties between cities and promoting the exchange of experience and knowledge.

Hajiyev added that a visit to Romania was recently organized, during which initial contacts were established to develop cooperation with Romanian cities.
