Baku to host 2nd International Conference on Cyberdiplomacy in November

The 2nd International Conference on Cyberdiplomacy (ICCD 2026) will be held in Baku on November 19, Olaylar informs, citing the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan.

The conference will be jointly organized by the Service and the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics of Romania, with the participation of the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the State Security Service, and other local partners.

The theme of the conference will be "Power and Influence in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Regional Perspective on the Evolving Cyberspace Landscape."

ICCD 2026 will bring together international experts, ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of international organizations.

Participants will discuss the impact of AI on international relations and diplomacy, the balance between cyber alliances and strategic autonomy, the role of big tech companies in geopolitics, threats of information warfare and deepfakes, trust and responsible behavior in cyberspace, critical infrastructure protection, and cross-border security risks.

The goal of the conference is to discuss the future of cyberspace amidst technological and geopolitical changes, as well as to strengthen cooperation between states, international organizations, experts, and the private sector.

In 2024, Azerbaijan hosted the 1st International Conference on Cyberdiplomacy, attended by about 120 representatives from more than 30 countries.
