FAO: Baku Harmoniya initiative aims to improve farmerschr("39") access to climate finance

The main goal of the Baku Harmoniya initiative is to improve farmerschr("39") access to climate finance, a natural resources specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Yvette Zenina, said on the second day of Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026), Olaylar informs.

Zenina noted that the Baku Harmony initiative was launched during Azerbaijanchr("39")s presidency of COP29. The process was later continued under the RAISE mechanism (Rapidly Accelerating Sustainable Investments in Agriculture for Transformation of Agrifood Systems).

"One of the main priorities of Baku Harmony is improving farmerschr("39") access to climate finance. Close cooperation needs to be established between multilateral development banks, state agricultural banks and farmerschr("39") organizations. Farmers are at the center of all initiatives," she said.
