Erdogan: Türkiye will continue working for peace and stability

Türkiye will continue working for peace, tranquility and stability both in its region and around the world, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the high-level meeting in the SCO Plus format,  Olaylar informs.

"Türkiye takes responsibility for resolving conflicts in its surrounding region through dialogue and diplomacy. We will continue our efforts to ensure peace, tranquility and stability not only in our region but throughout the world," Erdogan said.

He stressed that Türkiye also plays a crucial role in ensuring countrieschr("39") and organizationschr("39") access to Western markets, particularly by diversifying energy corridors and managing geopolitical risks.

He also noted that Ankara is promoting the Middle Corridor initiative as part of the Belt and Road Initiative.

"In this context, we attach great importance to cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. We will seek to develop our cooperation with the Shanghai Organization, which we regard as a rising star in all areas," Erdogan said.

According to him, the SCO, representing around 3.5 billion people and a GDP of $35 trillion, has become one of the integral elements of the multipolar order over the past 25 years.

He expressed confidence that the organization, inspired by the "spirit of Shanghai", will make a significant contribution to building a truly multipolar world.
