Official online platform for Azerbaijan's national standard time launched
12:38 EnThe Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of Azerbaijan, has launched an online platform displaying Azerbaijanchr("39")s national standard time (UTC (AZ)) in real time, Olaylar informs, citing the agency.
The platform is based on Azerbaijanchr("39")s National Standard Time, officially approved last year by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM).
Organizations across sectors - including telecommunications, broadcasting, banking and finance, transport and energy infrastructure, information security, data processing, research institutes, and government bodies - can now use this platform to synchronize their operations. Reliable and traceable time sources are crucial for activities ranging from accurate financial transactions to navigation systems and network infrastructure synchronization.
Azerbaijan is currently among the countries contributing to global UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Data from cesium atomic clocks at AzMIchr("39")s Time, Frequency, and Microwave Measurements Laboratory are regularly transmitted to the BIPM, where they are used in forming UTC. This ensures Azerbaijanchr("39")s national standard time is internationally recognized and reliable.
