Azerbaijani MPs to observe parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan

A group of Azerbaijani MPs will visit Kazakhstan on August 20 to observe the elections to the country"s new unicameral parliament, the Kurultai, the press service of the Milli Majlis press service told Olaylar.

MP Sabina Salmanova will observe the electoral process through the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, Nasib Magamaliyev through the CIS Executive Committee, Gulshan Pashayeva through the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Gunay Efendiyeva through the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) in Astana, and Hikmat Mammadov as part of the TURKPA mission in Almaty.

During the visit, the MPs will familiarize themselves with conditions at polling stations and preparations for the elections, observe the voting process and monitor voter participation.

The visit will conclude on August 25.
