Great Return: Residents of Khojavand and Shusha return to their homeland

In accordance with an instruction by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return process to territories liberated from occupation continues.

Residents relocating to the villages Guzeykhirman and Guneykhirman in the Khojavand district, as well as Kichik Galadara in the Shusha district, had previously been temporarily living in various regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings.

At the first stage, 18 families comprising 82 people were relocated to the village of Guzeykhirman, while 21 families, or 103 people, were relocated to Guneykhirman.

At the first stage, 11 families, comprising 39 people, moved to the village of Kichik Galadara.

The residents returning to their homeland expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support.

They also thanked the valiant Azerbaijani Army and the heroic servicemen and officers who liberated the territories from occupation, and paid tribute to those who were killed during the hostilities.
