Yekaterina Sariyeva sets Azerbaijan's new record

Azerbaijani athlete Yekaterina Sariyeva set a new national record in the triple jump at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

According to the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, cited by Olaylar, the athlete recorded a distance of 13.91 meters. Sariyevachr("39")s previous national record was 13.89 meters.

However, the result was not enough for the Azerbaijani athlete to advance to the final of the continental championship.
