Landmine explosion in Aghdara leaves two people injured

A landmine incident has occurred in the area of Chardagli village in Azerbaijanchr("39")s Aghdara district.

According to Olaylar, citing the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), the incident occurred during humanitarian demining operations.

An employee of a non-governmental organization involved in humanitarian mine clearance, 1994-born Surkhayli Alzamin Vazir oglu, was injured when an anti-personnel mine exploded while he was carrying out his duties.

As a result of the explosion, Surkhayli Alzamin sustained an injury to his right leg. Another employee, 1998-born Mirzayev Fuzuli Rizvan oglu, suffered minor bodily injuries in the incident.

The injured employees were evacuated to the district central hospital. Their condition is reported to be satisfactory.
