Tokayev: Azerbaijan's participation opened new stage in Central Asian cooperation
13:14 EnThe accession of Azerbaijan as a full participant in the Consultative Meetings has marked a new stage in our cooperation, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during an informal meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
"Our informal meeting is a good opportunity to discuss current issues on the agenda and determine further priorities for multilateral partnership. The intensity of contacts at all levels clearly confirms the common aspiration of our states for constructive cooperation for the well-being of brotherly peoples and the prosperity of the entire region," Tokayev said.
He noted that thanks to the strengthening of mutual trust and the consistent development of regional cooperation, Central Asia is experiencing the most successful period in its modern history.
"Azerbaijanchr("39")s accession as a full participant in the consultative meetings has marked a new stage in our cooperation. Through joint efforts, conditions are being created for further deepening political dialogue, expanding cooperation in investment, energy, industry, and forming a unified transport and logistics system," Tokayev said.
