Over 1 million foreign arrivals recorded in Azerbaijan in H1

Citizens of 192 countries made a total of 1,091,865 entries into Azerbaijan during the first half of 2026, said State Migration Service chief Vusal Huseynov, Olaylar informs.

Speaking to journalists during a media tour on migration media literacy, Huseynov said the largest number of arrivals came from Russia, Türkiye, Iran, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

He noted that the total number of entries declined by nearly 10% compared with the same period last year.

According to Huseynov, the sharpest decreases in arrivals were recorded among visitors from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and India.
