Fifth National Yaylag Festival kicks off in Azerbaijan's Goygol

The 5th National Yaylag (Highland) Festival has kicked off in Azerbaijanchr("39")s Goygol district.

The event is taking place at the Khan Yurdu ethno-settlement in Yeni Zod, marking the fifth edition of the now traditional festival.

Organized jointly by the Javad Khan History and Culture Foundation and KAP.AZ LLC, the festival is supported by the Goygol District Executive Power, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the World Ethnosport Union, and other partners.

At the Khan Chadiri (Tent) in the Khan Yurdu ethno-settlement, visitors can enjoy a carpet weaving exhibition, a crafts corner, national sports competitions (archery, equestrian, etc.), ethnosport archery training, a childrenchr("39")s area, concert programs, ashiq music, folklore performances, horse shows, tightrope walking and fire-breathing displays, as well as the Yaylah Table showcasing traditional cuisine.

From the very first day, the festival has attracted a flow of tourists to the ethno-settlement.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for July 25.
