Azerbaijan aims for top places at U17 Wrestling World Championships in Baku

Azerbaijanchr("39")s goal at the upcoming U17 Wrestling World Championships in Baku is to secure places among the top ranks, Parvin Piriyev, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AWF), told journalists, Olaylar informs.

Piriyev emphasized that their ambitions are always high: "The goal must be to take the highest places. First of all, the wrestlerchr("39")s health is important. The aim is to be among the top ranks, but it is not our main priority. We focus more on preparing athletes for higher age categories."

The U17 Wrestling World Championships will be held from July 27 to August 2 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

According to the final participant list approved by the United World Wrestling (UWW), the prestigious competition will host 663 athletes, 272 coaches, and 64 international referees.

In total, more than 1,100 visitors will arrive in Azerbaijan for the World Championships.
