Hummatov: Azerbaijan first in CIS to launch Single Window for foreign trade
11:26 EnAzerbaijan has become the first country in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to unite government agencies and participants in foreign trade and the transport-logistics sector on a single digital platform, the countrychr("39")s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rahman Hummatov, said, Olaylar informs.
Speaking during the presentation of the Single Window information system, Hummatov noted that the system will allow export, import, and transit operations to be carried out in a unified digital environment. More than 30 government institutions are planned to be integrated into the platform, with several already successfully connected.
He emphasized that the project also includes digitalization of transport documents and data exchange with international partners: "Within the project, cooperation with a number of international organizations is already underway, and implementation mechanisms are being developed in line with UN standards. Steps are currently being taken to fully digitalize transport documents with Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Russia."
He added that the introduction of the system will simplify documentation and permit issuance, make state-business interaction more efficient and transparent, accelerate cargo transportation, reduce logistics costs, and enhance the competitiveness of export goods.
