Hajiyev: Some media outlets tried to portray Azerbaijan as guilty in Karabakh conflict

Some international media outlets attempted to portray Azerbaijan as guilty in the Karabakh conflict, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, stated at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.

Hajiyev noted that since its inception, the forum has become one of the regionchr("39")s leading platforms.

He stressed that peace also depends on responsibility: "The Karabakh conflict was at the center of international media attention. Some outlets tried to present us as guilty in this conflict, which is regrettable. When speaking about the Karabakh conflict, it must be noted that we only sought to restore our sovereignty - and we succeeded. Nevertheless, biased approaches against us continued in international media."
