Ilham Aliyev: Becoming transit country without relations with neighbors is impossible

It is impossible to become a transit country without establishing relations with neighbors, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, entitled "The Mission of the Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust," Olaylar informs.

The head of state noted that Azerbaijan, in this regard, has established relations with its neighbors:

"At the same time, we have managed to build broad international cooperation across Eurasia. We established and led this process in the East, West, North, and South directions. We also implemented our energy projects during this period; in short, Azerbaijan has built multilateral international cooperation."

Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan has good relations with Central Asia, Georgia, as well as Türkiye and Europe:

"During the situation that arose in the Middle East, at the height of the conflict, you could see that air transport was passing through Azerbaijanchr("39")s territory. If we also take into account the cargo transported by land and sea, Azerbaijanchr("39")s importance increases even more."
