Azerbaijani deputy FM visits Utah, California for cooperation talks

Azerbaijanchr("39")s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov visited the US states of Utah and California on a working trip from July 7-9, according to the MFA

Mammadov held meetings with political, educational, and business leaders in Utah, including representatives of technology companies.

During his visit to Utah, the deputy minister held discussions with Utah Senate President Stuart Adams, Jack Gerard, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, University of Utah President Taylor Randall, and Stirling Foundation President Miles Hansen on potential areas of practical cooperation.

Mammadov also delivered a presentation at the Utah World Trade Center on Azerbaijanchr("39")s strategic role and business opportunities for Utah-based companies and technology firms. The event was organized by Franz Kolb, Director of International Trade and Diplomacy at the Utah Governorchr("39")s Office, and Jonathan Friedman, Executive Director of the center.

During his working visit to California, Mammadov met with Ned Finkle, Vice President of External Affairs at NVIDIAchr("39")s headquarters, to discuss possible areas of cooperation. The Azerbaijani delegation also learned about Nvidiachr("39")s work in artificial intelligence, including its role in public administration, the impact of digital transformation on citizen services, and opportunities for implementing innovative solutions.

In addition, at the Artificial Intelligence Center in San Jose, discussions were held on the exchange of experience in city management and public services between Azerbaijan and the city.
