Jabbarov: Azerbaijan committed to safeguarding global financial system integrity

Azerbaijanchr("39")s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said the country reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the global financial system during the Plenary Meeting of the Egmont Group, held in Baku, Olaylar informs.

In a post on X, Jabbarov described the gathering as "an important platform for strengthening international cooperation among financial intelligence units."

He added: "We reaffirmed Azerbaijanchr("39")s commitment to initiatives aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the global financial system and exchanged views on enhancing international cooperation and information sharing in the field of financial intelligence."

The minister also wrote that the meeting highlighted the importance of advancing public-private partnerships in the context of digital transformation to strengthen efforts to detect and combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
