Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan to hold meeting of Intergovernmental Commission today

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan discussed cooperation in the energy sector, including the transportation of energy resources to international markets, improving the legal framework, and participating in joint projects, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X following a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov during his visit to the country to participate in the 9th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, Olaylar informs.

"We highlighted that the rich energy potential of our countries provides a strong foundation for further expanding our economic partnership. We also discussed energy exports to international markets, further strengthening the legal and contractual framework in the energy sector, and opportunities for cooperation on joint projects," the minister noted.
