Participants of international conference in Shusha adopt joint declaration

Participants of the international conference "Cultural and Ethnic Diversity: Lessons from History, Contemporary Challenges" held in Shusha adopted a joint declaration outlining key conclusions and recommendations based on the discussions.

Two panel discussions were held during the event, focusing on the preservation of cultural and ethnic diversity, the protection of indigenous peopleschr("39") rights, the consequences of colonialism, as well as modern challenges related to historical memory and international cooperation.

The conference was organized by the Public Association "Center for Cultural and Ethnic Diversity" in partnership with the Public Association for Cultural and Historical Research "Silk Road."

The event brought together representatives of civil society, scholars, experts, human rights defenders, journalists, and public figures from 10 countries, including Azerbaijan, the United States, France, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Israel, Türkiye, and Georgia.

During the discussions, participants exchanged views on the protection of cultural heritage, the preservation of ethnic identity, the safeguarding of indigenous peoples" rights, and the strengthening of international dialogue in the context of contemporary global challenges.
