Azerbaijan, UN discuss cooperation on urban mobility
14:00 EnAzerbaijan and the United Nations have discussed prospects for cooperation in sustainable transport, road safety, and urban mobility.
According to Olaylar, citing the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, the talks were held between Committee Chairman Anar Guliyev and UN Secretary‑Generalchr("39")s Special Envoy for Road Safety Jean Todt.
Guliyev emphasized the importance of continuing the positive momentum created by the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku in May.
He noted that the Baku Call to Action adopted during the forum reaffirmed the role of human‑centered transport policies in shaping safe, sustainable, and resilient urban environments.
Both sides highlighted the need to promote sustainable and integrated mobility solutions and expand international cooperation to build more inclusive, accessible, and livable cities.
