Azerbaijan to introduce online compulsory health insurance certificates

Compulsory medical insurance certificates will be issued online in Azerbaijan and created in the relevant electronic information system, Olaylar informs.

The corresponding amendments are proposed to the laws "On Medical Insurance" and "On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities."

The bill was submitted for discussion at todaychr("39")s meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy.

According to the bill, the concept of a Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund is proposed to be included in the law "On Medical Insurance."

Furthermore, it is envisaged to create a legal basis for all transactions related to compulsory medical insurance to be carried out electronically through the authorized bodychr("39")s information system. Specifically, it is proposed that outpatient medications be dispensed in pharmacies based on electronic prescriptions submitted through this information system.
