By 2040, Azerbaijan's Fuzuli expected to accommodate 50,000 people
13:37 EnAccording to the general plan for Azerbaijanchr("39")s Fuzuli city, which covers an area of approximately 2,000 hectares, it is expected to accommodate 50,000 people by 2040, Emin Huseynov, Special Presidential Representative for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, said while briefing Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on ongoing and planned work in accordance with the master plan for the city of Fuzuli, Olaylar informs.
He also spoke about the destruction and vandalism committed by Armenian armed forces in the Fuzuli district during the 30-year occupation.
Huseynov noted that the Smart City concept will be implemented in Fuzuli, which is being reconstructed in accordance with modern urban planning standards.
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is visiting the Fuzuli district as part of a state visit to Azerbaijan. He, together with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, viewed the destroyed sites of Fuzuli city.
