Azerbaijan participates in Global Offshore Wind 2026 conference in UK

Azerbaijan took part in the international Global Offshore Wind 2026 conference held in Manchester, United Kingdom, the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) told Olaylar.

AREAchr("39")s Deputy Director Fagan Abdurrahmanov attended as part of Azerbaijanchr("39")s delegation. The visit was organized with the support of the UK government and at the invitation of the Azerbaijani Embassy.

During the conference, the delegation joined exhibitions and panel discussions at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, met with numerous international companies active in offshore wind energy, and held networking sessions.

A special event was also arranged for Azerbaijanchr("39")s delegation, where UK companies representing the offshore wind supply chain delivered presentations. At this event, Abdurrahmanov gave a talk titled Azerbaijanchr("39")s Renewable Energy Transition and 2030 Vision, highlighting the countrychr("39")s offshore wind potential, ongoing projects, and international investment opportunities.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured RWEchr("39")s offshore wind farms Gwynt y Môr and Rhyl Flats in Wales. At the Mostyn port program, participants were introduced to the management system of offshore wind parks, offshore substations, and operational processes.

This visit holds significant importance for expanding international cooperation in offshore wind energy, learning advanced practices, and assessing potential investment opportunities.
