Preparations for BSTDB annual meeting in Baku reviewed
15:45 EnPreparations for the bankchr("39")s annual meeting to be held in Baku on July 1 were reviewed as part of Azerbaijanchr("39")s 2025-2026 chairmanship of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) Board of Governors.
Azerbaijani First Deputy Minister of Finance Anar Karimov met with BSTDB President Serhat Köksal and his delegation to discuss the matter.
The meeting addressed the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and BSTDB, prospects for future development, the bankchr("39")s activities and financing priorities in the country, as well as issues related to infrastructure and sustainable development projects.
Karimov emphasized Azerbaijanchr("39")s commitment to its long‑term, results‑oriented partnership with BSTDB, noting the bankchr("39")s important role in expanding regional economic ties, improving access to financial resources, and stimulating private sector growth. He underlined that Azerbaijan, as a founding member, continues to support the BSTDBchr("39")s institutional strength and development initiatives.
He expressed confidence that the upcoming annual meeting in Baku will contribute significantly to strengthening financial and economic dialogue among member states, deepening regional cooperation, and reinforcing multilateral partnerships.
Köksal, in turn, praised the pace of cooperation with Azerbaijan and highlighted the countrychr("39")s contribution to the bankchr("39")s activities. He noted interest in expanding joint work in supporting the private sector, improving SME access to finance, implementing infrastructure projects, diversifying the economy, and advancing green transformation.
The sides also exchanged views on the bankchr("39")s capital increase process, with Azerbaijan reaffirming its participation and commitment to the obligations undertaken.
