Azerbaijan hands over IsDB Annual Meetings chair to Burkina Faso
11:55 EnAzerbaijan has handed over the chair of the the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Groupchr("39")s Annual Meetings to Burkina Faso.
As Olaylar informs that Burkina Faso has been elected chair of the Board of Governors for IsDBchr("39")s 52nd Annual Meeting. The next annual meetings are planned to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2027.
Speaking at the closing plenary session of the IsDB Groupchr("39")s 51st Annual Meetings in Baku, Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov thanked all parties that contributed to the organization and holding of the event.
The minister expressed gratitude to IsDB Group President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, the bankchr("39")s management and staff, representatives of member countries, organizing teams, volunteers and partners.
He noted that the meetings were organized at a high level in Baku, expressed confidence that cooperation would further expand in the future, and declared the 2026 Annual Meetings closed.
The IsDB Groupchr("39")s annual meetings were held in Baku on June 16-19 under the theme "Regional integration for sustainable prosperity." The events brought together government officials from the bankchr("39")s 57 member countries, representatives of development institutions, financial sector leaders and experts.
Azerbaijan hosted the IsDB Group Annual Meetings for the second time. The country first hosted the event in 2010.
