Central banks of Azerbaijan and Sudan sign memorandum of understanding
15:20 EnThe central banks of Azerbaijan and Sudan have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.
According to Olaylar, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov met with a delegation led by Amna Mirghani on the sidelines of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the macroeconomic situation, mechanisms for improving the effectiveness of monetary policy transmission, the expansion of correspondent banking relations, and issues related to financial inclusion.
Following the talks, the two sides signed a memorandum aimed at expanding cooperation in the areas of monetary policy, the financial sector, payment systems, fintech, banking supervision, and combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
To support these objectives, the memorandum provides for the organization of meetings, seminars, experience-sharing initiatives, training programs, and business visits between the two institutions.
