Azerbaijan and Ukraine discuss joint shipbuilding projects

Azerbaijan and Ukraine have discussed the implementation of joint shipbuilding projects, as well as broader cooperation in maritime transport and logistics, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, said following a meeting with Afgan Jalilov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).

The parties reviewed prospects for expanding Azerbaijani-Ukrainian cooperation in maritime transport, logistics, and shipbuilding.

"Particular attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of the expansion of the Middle Corridor, ferry services in the Caspian Sea and between Ukraine and the South Caucasus, as well as the implementation of joint infrastructure and shipbuilding projects," Husyev said.

The Ukrainian ambassador also expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Azerbaijan for supporting Ukrainechr("39")s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the humanitarian assistance provided during the ongoing conflict.
