Devlet Bahçeli: If Armenia acts wisely, Zangazur Corridor could become its gateway

If Armenia acts wisely and sincerely joins the regional cooperation platform, the Turan Corridor (Zangazur Corridor - ed.) could become its gateway out of economic isolation, Chairman of Türkiyechr("39")s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli stated during his partychr("39")s parliamentary group meeting, Olaylar informs via Turkish media outlets.

Bahçeli warned that if Armenia fails to recognize new realities and clings to past illusions, it will miss future opportunities.

He added that Armenia will either be dragged along by old occupation thinking and the revanchist ambitions of diaspora circles, or it will accept the new reality in the region and choose lasting peace.

"The new reality is clear: Karabakh is Azerbaijan. This truth has been confirmed both on the battlefield at the cost of blood and at the negotiating table in legal terms. Attempts to revive old occupation ideas in new forms are no longer possible. Normalization can only succeed if Armenia abandons its historic hostility toward Türkiye and Azerbaijan, accepts the regionchr("39")s new realities, and respects principles of justice and cooperation. No formula inspired by remnants of the Soviet era that undermines Azerbaijanchr("39")s achievements and obstructs the Turkic world can endure," Bahçeli said.

The chairman described the Zangazur Corridor as a historic passage that will connect Türkiye to Turkestan (Central Asia -ed) through Azerbaijan.
