Farmers in Azerbaijan to receive additional subsidies for laser land leveling

Farmers in Azerbaijan will be introduced to a new subsidy mechanism for those practicing laser land leveling, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Seymur Safarli said at a meeting held within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Agricultural Production and Processing, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Sectors in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030.

As saying an additional product subsidy will be paid for each ton of wheat delivered to mills by farmers using laser land leveling.

The subsidy will apply to both farmers and mills. The mechanism is expected to accelerate the adoption of modern technologies, as well as increase yields and improve water-use efficiency.
