Unal Ustel: Northern Cyprus expects direct flights to Azerbaijan to open soon

Direct charter flights between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) may open soon, TRNC Prime Minister Unal Ustel said, Olaylar informs referring to Turkish media.

He stated that significant progress has been made in launching charter flights between Azerbaijan and the TRNC.

"As a result of the work carried out with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan (Ali Asadov - ed.) and the relevant ministries, an important stage has been reached in launching charter flights between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I believe that, together with the cooperation agreements we will sign, we will see the opening of regular charter flights in the very near future," he noted.

Stressing that the new flight will not only serve as a transport route, but also as a bridge that will promote tourism, trade, education, and fraternal ties, Ustel stated that relations between Azerbaijan and the TRNC will continue to strengthen.
