Bloomberg: US and Iran near agreement to reopen Strait of Hormuz

The United States and Iran are nearing an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz ahead of next weekchr("39")s G7 Summit 2026.

As reports Olaylar, senior officials told Bloomberg that the prospects for reaching a deal are high.

A senior Iranian official said there is a strong likelihood that an understanding will be achieved.

Another source added that the arrangement will most likely take the form of a memorandum of understanding rather than a fully legally binding treaty.

The G7 summit is scheduled to take place from June 15 to 17 in Évian-les-Bains, located in the French Alps.
