Vietnam, Azerbaijan discuss expanding cooperation

A delegation led by Nguyen Huy Tien, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Peoplechr("39")s Procuracy of Vietnam, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan, Olaylar  informs, citing the Prosecutor Generalchr("39")s Office of Azerbaijan.

During the visit, the delegation was received by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov. Azerbaijanchr("39")s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev also attended the meeting. The sides emphasized the existing friendship between the two countries and noted favorable opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and other areas.

The delegation was also received by Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan. The meeting discussed cooperation practices between parliament and prosecutorial bodies in the adoption and improvement of legislative acts.

In line with the program, the delegation visited the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, where Chairman Farhad Abdullayev briefed the guests on the courtchr("39")s activities and the guarantees of human rights enshrined in the Constitution of Azerbaijan.

The meetings were considered significant for discussing the prospects of mutual cooperation.
