Azerbaijan mulls expanding cooperation in new areas with ILO

Azerbaijan and the International Labor Organization (ILO) discussed expanding cooperation in new areas, reads a statement by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Olaylar informs.

During the 114th ILO session in Geneva, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anar Aliyev, presented the organizationchr("39")s Director-General, Gilbert Houngbo, with notification of Azerbaijanchr("39")s accession to another ILO convention.

Convention No. 187 "Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health Convention" was approved by the relevant law of the Republic of Azerbaijan earlier this year.

Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan has already acceded to 60 ILO conventions and is considering ratifying several other ILO instruments.
