Isa Habibbayli: Archaeological research planned in Lachin and Kalbajar

Archaeological research is planned in Lachin and Kalbajar, Azerbaijan, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Isa Habibbayli, stated during the opening ceremony of the 2026 Archaeological and Anthropological Field Research Season, Olaylar informs.

He noted that last year, international expeditions were organized in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan: "A scientific center must be opened in Karabakh. The time has come. While research is already being conducted in some areas of Karabakh, the first archaeological expeditions should also be organized in other regions."
