Bahar Muradova: Birth rate in Azerbaijan not critical

The situation regarding birth rates in Azerbaijan is not at a critical level, Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, told journalists, Olaylar informs.

Speaking at the My Voice - My Rights conference dedicated to International Childrenchr("39")s Day on June 1, Muradova highlighted that the decline in birth numbers is not directly linked to state institutions but rather to demography, national identity, and the formation of future human capital:

"In fact, compared to developed countries, the situation with birth rates in Azerbaijan is not critical. This issue is connected to peoplechr("39")s mindset. Based on our family values, we must strive to maintain balance. The Committee keeps the matter under attention and informs relevant institutions about necessary actions. I believe the country will not reach a critical threshold. We know the roots of the problem, its future perspectives, and we are monitoring it closely."
