Tajikistan offers Azerbaijan cooperation in industrial digitalization

Tajikistan has proposed cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of industrial digitalization, Tajikistanchr("39")s Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Bakhtiyor Safarzoda, said at the Azerbaijan-Tajik Business Forum in Baku,  Olaylar informs.

According to him, one of the promising areas of bilateral cooperation is collaboration in new technologies and industrial digitalization.

He proposed considering the creation of a joint working group to identify priority areas for the digitalization of industrial enterprises.

"We propose exploring the possibility of creating joint innovation centers and technology parks in the manufacturing industry. We consider it important to establish cooperation between specialized enterprises of the two countries in mechanical engineering to provide industrial, transport, and agricultural equipment. In this area, the creation of joint assembly and service facilities in Tajikistan is possible.

We also propose exploring opportunities for cooperation in the chemical industry, including the production of mineral fertilizers, construction chemicals, household and industrial chemicals. Tajikistan has the necessary raw materials to implement joint projects in this area," he noted.

According to him, the possibility of increasing purchases of Tajik products by Azerbaijani partners in the construction materials sector could be considered.

"We also consider the creation of joint ventures for cocoon processing, silk fabric production, textiles, and carpets promising. It would also be advisable to develop complete value chains - from raw material processing to finished product production," the deputy minister said.
