Belarus, Azerbaijan planning $1B worth of projects

Belarus and Azerbaijan plan to implement joint projects worth approximately $1 billion, Igor Sergeyenko, chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, said at a press conference with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, in Baku.

As reports Olaylar, the Belarusian delegation is participating in the forum at the instruction of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.

"The forum is superbly organized. More than 45,000 people are participating. This is a large-scale event," Sergeyenko noted.

He emphasized that the main goal of international cooperation should be to create comfortable living conditions for people.

"Developing bilateral relations with friendly Azerbaijan is one of our priorities. We are discussing this area with our partners," the chairman of the House of Representatives stated.

He added that Belarus also intends to participate in projects in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.

"Certainly, projects are planned in the liberated territories with the participation of the Republic of Belarus," said Sergeyenko, noting that the total cost of the joint projects is approximately $1 billion.

He added that "there are no closed topics" in the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
