African regional ministerial meeting launched in Baku within WUF13

Within the framework of the third day of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, a regional ministerial meeting of African countries has started.

The ministerial meeting is intended to ensure Africa"s transition from declarations to concrete practical actions and their implementation.

Participants of the meeting plan to adopt a Ministerial Action Plan with concrete commitments, responsible parties, and timelines across five priority areas of the Nairobi Declaration.

In addition, they also plan to agree on a unified African position for the high-level review of the New Urban Agenda at the United Nations General Assembly in July 2026, including concrete proposals on housing, climate, governance, and financing.
