He stated that the combined efforts of the international community make it possible to effectively address the most pressing challenges in urban development.

"Our country actively supports global urbanization trends. UN-Habitat initiatives are tangible tools that we are implementing, creating examples of best practices in cities and other populated areas," he noted.

Sergeyenko recalled that the socio-economic development program for Belarus for 2026-2030, approved by the All-Belarusian Peoplechr("39")s Assembly, identifies the creation of a high-quality and comfortable living environment as one of the seven key priorities.

He also emphasized that the National Sustainable Development Strategy of Belarus until 2040 places special emphasis on housing construction. Its goal is to provide every citizen with affordable, high-quality housing that meets modern standards.

According to the head of the Belarusian delegation, the future of urban development lies in the development of energy-saving technologies, the implementation of modern eco-friendly engineering systems, and innovative approaches to building design.

"Belarus is actively developing the concept of sustainable cities, where energy-efficient buildings harmoniously blend with green spaces and parks, as well as thoughtful landscaping. One proven solution to the housing issue in the country is the development of rental housing," he emphasized.
