Azerbaijanchr("39")s inclusive urban development experience has been presented at a high-level meeting on HIV/AIDS at UN Headquarters in the US,  Olaylar informs.

The event was attended by Parvana Valiyeva, a member of the Parliament and co-chair of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Office of the Global Coalition of Parliamentarians on Health.

The MP noted that healthy and sustainable cities are particularly important for the future of public health: "Azerbaijan supports Fast-Track Cities initiatives that expand access to HIV services and actively promotes people-centered, sustainable urban policies."

Valiyeva emphasized that, amid changes in the global financial environment, a key issue is how to make the HIV response more sustainable and based on national resources. She emphasized that an integrated approach to combating tuberculosis and HIV is an effective and sustainable solution.
