Azerbaijan to lead Global South NGO Platform for next five years

The secretariat of the Global South NGO Platform - GSNP has been transferred to Azerbaijan, as announced during the First General Assembly of GSNP, Olaylar informs.

It was noted that, based on the election results, Fuad Karimli was elected as Secretary‑General of GSNP. Thus, Azerbaijan will lead the organization for the next five years. In addition, four deputies covering the regions of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific were also elected.

The meeting brought together NGO representatives from over 110 countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific, regions where about 80% of the world"s population lives.
