The second stage of Azerbaijanchr("39")s Baku-Khankandi cycling race will take place today.
The second stage will cover a distance of 193.2 kilometers.
Todaychr("39")s route will start in Baku, pass through Shamakhi, and finish in Ismayilli.
As reported earlier, Belarusian cyclist Aleksei Shnirko, representing the Chinese team Li-Ning Star, won the opening stage of the race.
The competition aims to promote the development of cycling in the country, showcase Azerbaijanchr("39")s successful hosting of international sporting events, and draw attention to the territories liberated from occupation.
A total of 24 teams representing 20 countries are competing in the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) 2.1 category race.
The prize fund for the five-stage event exceeds 50,000 euros. The race will conclude on May 14.
The final stage of the tournament will take place in the city of Khankandi.
